My Respect

Some say that respect is earned,
Mine is simple.
I follow nobody that wants to hurt me,
That doesn't leave me be,
That makes my tears fall into my cup of morning tea.
The thing is,
My respect will be given to you,
Regardless
It will hurt me if you miss use it,
Or abuse it,
Split it with fits
I am me,
Don't try to change me,
Leave me be,
Please don't hurt me
