Lights flashing brightly in my face,
Sweat dripping down my body,
Hands up with aggression,
My eyes on the target,
I throw a punch as I breathe out,
And defend my face with my hands as I breathe in.

Minutes have gone,
My breathing setting the pace,
Aches and pains come from my body,
The way I punch and kick,
Shows my passion.
My eyes match my opponents.
I defend myself with everything I got.
My mind goes blank...

Life has its challenges,
We must fight it,
Just like a fighter.
This is your dream,
Your dream to live.
Take it, its yours.
Just remember, you must fight to maintain it,
To keep it close.
For if you lose it,
Life will become painful.
